Static Analysis for Steel Beam

Job ID: 39877902

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

I need a thorough static load analysis for a steel beam built from 2 sets of two channels welded back-to-back and spaced apartt to behave as an I-beam. Three separate distributed loads act along defined portions of the span; the rest of the beam carries no load.

Scope
• Calculate shear-force and bending-moment diagrams for the full span.
• Determine maximum bending stress, shear stress and mid-span deflection.
• Verify the section’s safety factor against yielding (steel, standard properties).
• Provide concise recommendations if reinforcement or section change is required.

Preferred workflow
1. I will supply exact geometry, support conditions and load magnitudes once we start.
2. You model the beam in your chosen tool—hand calculations in Excel/Mathcad are acceptable, but a quick FEA check in ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, Abaqus, or similar is welcome for validation.
3. Deliver a brief report (PDF or Word) containing:
– Assumptions and material properties
– Step-by-step calculations or screenshots of solver setup
– Result plots/figures
– Conclusion and any suggestions for optimization

A clear, readable calculation sheet and editable source files must accompany the final report.
