Crossflow Fan-Wing UAV Analysis
Budget: $20,000 – $50,000 USD
I’m refining a cross-flow fan-wing UAV concept and need a complete picture of how it will behave in the air and how the structure will cope with the resulting loads. On the aerodynamic side, I want accurate lift and drag coefficients across the flight envelope, clear visualisation of flow patterns and vortex behaviour around the fan-augmented wing, and a detailed pressure distribution map that I can feed back into the structural model. CFD in ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM or an equivalent solver is fine as long as mesh independence is demonstrated and transitional flow around the fan is captured.
For structural integrity, my main focus is the wing and fan structure plus the control surfaces and their attachments. I’d like an FEA model (Abaqus, ANSYS Mechanical, or similar) that imports the aerodynamic pressure field, evaluates stress, deflection and factor of safety, and highlights any resonance or fatigue hotspots likely to occur during typical manoeuvres.
Deliverables
• CFD report with validated lift/drag curves, flow visualisations and pressure plots
• FEA report showing stress, displacement, FOS and modal results for the wing/fan assembly and control surfaces
• All native model files and a brief walkthrough so I can iterate internally
