Chassis FEA Stress Analysis
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need a full finite element stress analysis on an automotive chassis that I am refining for weight and strength. I will supply the cleaned-up 3D CAD model in STEP format along with the load cases (static vertical 5 g, lateral 2 g, longitudinal 1 g) and the mounting boundary conditions. Your task is to import the model, assign the correct high-strength steel material properties, create a mesh that shows clear convergence, and run the analysis.
Preferred tools are ANSYS, Abaqus, or SolidWorks Simulation; please stay with whichever you are most proficient in and return the native project file. The finished job must include:
• Von Mises stress and safety-factor contour plots
• Deflection plots and key displacement values
• A short, engineer-level report (methodology, mesh-independence evidence, assumptions, results, recommendations)
• All working files so I can reproduce the study
Acceptance criteria: peak stresses must be reported relative to the material yield, global deflection kept below 2 mm, and mesh refinement demonstrated to within 5 % convergence. If anything in the model needs clarification, let me know early so we keep the iteration cycle tight.
