Abaqus Railway Track Model Development

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I need a fully-parametrised Abaqus/CAE model of a 6 m railway track panel that I can later refine. The arrangement is straightforward: seven concrete sleepers spaced 667 mm centre-to-centre, sitting on a 500 mm ballast layer, with two steel rails fixed above.

Three distinct scenarios must be simulated:
1) every sleeper intact,
2) Sleeper 3 cracked,
3) a void under Sleeper 7.

On each rail seat apply 200 kN cyclic loading—100 cycles at 5 Hz—so the load history is identical on both sides. Please set up the geometry, section assignments, material definitions, surface-to-surface contact, and boundary conditions so the file is clean and ready for later adjustments and additional studies.

Deliverables
• Abaqus .cae (and matching .inp) containing the three load steps, properly named.
• A concise note or PDF that explains key modelling choices: element types, material cards, contact settings, boundary restraints, amplitude definition for the cyclic load, and how the cracked sleeper and ballast void were implemented.

The model should run without errors in the current release of Abaqus and be organised with clear sets and assemblies so future parametric studies are easy to launch.
