3D Abaqus Composite Beam Analysis

Job ID: 40018142

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

I need a complete Abaqus CAE workflow that takes a composite beam from blank screen to final post-processed results in full 3-D. Starting with native geometry creation, you will build the beam, define a realistic laminate lay-up, assign orthotropic material data, apply suitable boundary conditions and loading, then generate a reliable mesh that converges. Once the model is ready, run the static analysis, capture stresses, deflections and any failure indices, and finally compare those findings to an existing 2-D model so the differences are clear.

Deliverables I expect:
• The Abaqus .CAE file (plus .inp if you export one) containing geometry, sections, lay-up, loads, BCs and mesh
• A concise report (≈3–4 pages) with process screenshots, contour plots and a short discussion of what the 3-D study reveals versus the 2-D counterpart
• Any supplementary scripts or spreadsheets used for material definitions or result extraction

Acceptance will be based on a model that solves without errors, produces sensible stress/deflection plots, and highlights at least two key behavioural differences between 2-D and 3-D representations of the same composite beam.
