You'll be someone who thrives on execution, has a sharp eye for detail, and understands that small changes can have big impacts on conversion rates and user experience.
In this role, you will:
Execute Shopify front-end development using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Implement A/B tests, small changes, and troubleshooting fixes to support conversion rate improvements
Contribute to improving average order value and overall site performance through UX enhancements
Build custom landing pages and features that support marketing and product initiatives
Proactively flag opportunities for improvement and suggest better ways of doing things
Work independently on tasks without heavy hand-holding while staying aligned with team strategy
Working Hours: This is a part-time contract role to start, approximately 15 to 25 hours per week, with potential to scale based on performance and business needs.
We prefer candidates who can offer at least 3–4 hours of overlap with U.S. Mountain Time (9am–5pm MT) to collaborate with our team. Outside of that, you’ll have flexibility in how you structure your hours, as long as deadlines are met.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you need:
Proven experience with Shopify theme development, Liquid templates required
Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with a focus on front-end performance
Experience implementing features, fixing bugs, and improving user experience
Comfortable working in an environment with A/B testing and fast iterations
Strong attention to detail and understanding of how changes impact conversion
Brownie points for:
Experience working on Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes
Experience with A/B testing tools like Shoplift or similar platforms
Exposure to conversion rate optimisation or performance-focused environments
Experience building custom landing pages from scratch
