Video Editor (DaVinci Resolve 20 Only) – Cut Pauses, Filler Words & Mistakes

Project Description:
I’m looking for a video editor who works exclusively with DaVinci Resolve 20 to clean up talking-head / screen-recording style videos.
The goal is simple:
Make the video flow smoothly by removing silence/empty spaces, “ums”, “ahs”, repeated phrases, and obvious mistakes, while keeping the content and message intact. No heavy effects or creative editing needed—just clean, continuous, professional-looking footage.
We will start with 1 test video. If the collaboration goes well, there will be ongoing work with multiple videos.
Tasks:
Import and edit raw footage in DaVinci Resolve 20.
Remove:
Long pauses and empty spaces
Filler words (“um”, “uh”, “ah”, etc.) where possible without making speech sound unnatural
Clear mistakes, false starts, or repeated sentences
Maintain natural pacing and conversational flow.
Important:
Do NOT export a final video.
Deliver the DaVinci Resolve timeline / project file so I can do the final adjustments and export myself.
Requirements:
You must use DaVinci Resolve 20 (please confirm this in your proposal).
Proven experience editing talking-head / educational / explainer content.
Strong attention to detail and timing.
Ability to keep edits smooth and invisible (no jarring cuts).
Test Video Details (for this project):
Approx. length: [e.g. 15 minutes raw footage]
You will receive: raw video file + any notes if needed.
Deliverable: 1 cleaned, edited video, ready to publish.
