Thane Electronics Mechanical Engineering Lead

I’m launching a new consumer-electronics line and need an experienced mechanical engineer located in or near Thane who can take the idea from a blank page all the way to small-batch production. Nothing exists yet—no sketches, no CAD—so the role begins with pure concept development and ends when the first production run rolls off the line.

You’ll guide every stage of the mechanical side:
• Product design – translate functional goals into elegant, manufacturable form factors using preferred CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Prototype development – iterate quickly through 3-D prints or CNC samples, validate fit and function, and refine until we have a fully working unit.
• Production planning – prepare detailed drawings, BOMs, and DFM notes, identify local vendors, and oversee pilot manufacturing to ensure quality and cost targets are met.

Because these devices will ship in modest volumes at first, familiarity with low-to-mid volume techniques (sheet-metal forming, injection-molding with soft tooling, rapid tooling, etc.) is essential, along with a reliable network of suppliers around Thane or the wider Mumbai region.
