The aim of this assignment is for you to consider the depth the role of talk and active learning in learning and teaching in the primary classroom, and reflect on these in relation to school. As well as demonstrating a critical engagement with a range of background reading and scholarly research, the essay will use and refer to observations carried out in school based experience. You will need to refer to some interesting examples of classroom talk and active learning from your school based experience.
