Tableau Data Visualisation - Data Structure and Design
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
Our psychology-focused platform already runs several Tableau dashboards, but the underlying data model needs tightening before the visuals can truly guide decisions. My first priority is to audit and correct the joins coming from our relational sources (mostly SQL Server and a few MySQL tables) so customer-segmentation views report accurately.
Once the joins are solid, I want the key dashboards redesigned for clarity and consistency - think clear cohort break-downs, fast filtering and performance that holds up as the data grows.
After the rebuild, I’ll rely on you to bring our team members up to speed so they can own day-to-day Tableau management. A short, hands-on training program with step-by-step documentation will be essential.
Specific milestones we’ll work through:
• Review existing workbooks, map current joins to business rules, and deliver a gap report
• Re-engineer data sources and relationships in Tableau (and, where needed, back in SQL) to support accurate segmentation logic
• Refresh or redesign dashboards, applying best-practice UX and performance tuning
• Produce concise hand-over notes and run live training sessions (recorded for future staff)
If you’re comfortable wrangling complex relational data, polishing visual stories in Tableau Desktop/Server, and teaching others what you know, let’s talk timing and next steps.
