SolidWorks Design Review for Injection Molding

Job ID: 40538795

Budget: $10 – $30 CAD

I have a fully modeled part in SolidWorks that is destined for injection tooling, and before I commit to cutting steel I want an experienced set of eyes to verify the design is truly mold-ready.

Your job is to open the native SolidWorks file, run through all the classic manufacturability checkpoints—draft, wall-thickness consistency, parting-line logic, ejector placement, gate options, ribs/bosses, and any risk of sink, warp, or short shot—and then document every improvement you would recommend. Feel free to run quick in-tool mold flow simulations if that helps you illustrate a point; what matters is that I receive clear, actionable feedback that keeps tooling changes to an absolute minimum down the road.

Please return:
• An annotated SolidWorks file (Design Reviewer notes or redline features)
• A concise PDF report summarising each finding, the reason it matters, and a suggested fix
• A brief change log so my internal team can track revisions

If something in the geometry is a show-stopper for molding, flag it prominently. Otherwise, pragmatic suggestions that balance part performance with tool cost are exactly what I’m after. Looking forward to your insights.
