Skyfront ~ Autopilot Case Redesign Project

Hello! Thank you for undertaking this ‘Autopilot Case Redesign’ project. A little about me and our company Skyfront. My name is Hemant Chaudhary and I lead the mechanical engineering team at Skyfront- the leading manufacturer in the world of long endurance hybrid-electric unmanned aerial vehicles. Our drones run on an interplay of gasoline and electric power- acting much akin to a Toyota Prius- allowing consumers flight times over ten times those of traditional electric drones. We currently hold the world record for the longest flying UAV coming in at a little over 13 hours of flight time! We own our entire hardware and software stack, from the power generation system to the ground control software.
In this rather simple project, your goal is to redesign the ‘Autopilot Case’ by assuming it is to be made out of 6061 Aluminum rather than Nylon 12 or in essence out of metal through Traditional Manufacturing rather than nylon through Additive Manufacturing as it currently is.
