Shopify Developer
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I am looking for a Shopify Developer who has a business brain, someone who can lead a project and put forward ideas, not someone who will only follow instructions.
To give you some insight, we are a marketplace that uses the MVM app within a Shopify template that we customized. The website looks lovely and it works but it has its issues (it's super slow), MVM pays out sooner than it should, and check out is clunky. In time we will rebuild it but for now, it needs maintaining and there are elements that need to be developed while we map the specifications out for the new site.
We use Confluence/JIRA - I need someone who can organize themselves and the tickets in advance, who can manage a backlog and plan maintenance alongside development. We currently have a FT coder but he is more junior, he would be there to help onboard you and support you going forwards.
Our SEO is dreadful but I believe that is also Shopify related and why eventually we are likely to move away from their platform.
We offer a monthly retainer, we need someone passionate about code, a motivated self-starter that can join the team and help improve our current tech stack. Spoken and written English are a must, and should be fluent, I feel we would work better with a freelancer over a team. Experience in luxury goods or high-end products would be great, someone who is data-driven that can base recommendations on numbers to aid conversions.
