SDS2 Steel Detailing Project
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m ready to move a commercial building from concept to fabrication and I need a detailer who works confidently inside SDS/2. All architectural drawings and the full design specification set are in hand and will be shared on day one.
Scope
The package covers every steel element on the job: beams and columns throughout the frame, all bracing and connection work, plus the stairs and handrails. I’m looking for a clean, clash-free SDS/2 model and the coordinated shop drawings that flow from it, so the fabricator can cut steel the moment they arrive. Connection design should follow the parameters already defined in the engineer’s spec; I’ll supply those figures alongside the drawings.
Deliverables
• Complete SDS/2 model with all member sizes, connections, bolts and welds resolved
• Issue-ready shop drawings (PDF + DWG) for beams, columns, bracing, stairs and handrails
• CNC/KISS file output for fabrication, plus a drawing register listing every sheet produced
Acceptance
Drawings must align with AISC standards, dimensions must pull directly from the model, and any RFIs you raise should be noted inside the transmittal log. I’ll review the first drawing batch within two business days so we can keep momentum.
