Plastic Enclosure STEP File Creation

Job ID: 39777224

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I already have reference photos of a small consumer-product enclosure and a clear idea of the final colours. What I now need is a clean, fully-parametric CAD model that can go straight to toolmaking. The emphasis is on attractive, well-resolved exterior surfaces—every visible line and radius should match the look in the pictures.

You may work in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or an equivalent surfacing package, so long as the final deliverable is a watertight STEP file (AP214 or AP242) suitable for injection-moulding quotation. Please keep the model editable; I’ll want to tweak wall thickness and add boss details later.

Deliverables
• Native CAD file with complete feature tree
• STEP export (AP214/AP242) ready for tooling
• Two or three quick renders that show the proposed colour scheme, so I can confirm the aesthetics before sign-off

Acceptance criteria
• All surfaces knit without gaps; model passes import diagnostics in SolidWorks
• Draft angles ≥1° wherever practical
• External geometry exactly matches the supplied photos; overall dimensions ±0.2 mm

If you have an industrial-design mindset and can balance looks with mouldability, this should be a straightforward project. I’ll share the reference images and colour palette once we start—looking forward to seeing your approach.
