NinjaTrader Futures Trading Operations Administrator
(Remote | Part-Time to Start | Growth to Full-Time)
We are hiring an experienced Futures Trading Operations Administrator to manage and maintain a large-scale NinjaTrader-based trading infrastructure. This role is responsible for execution reliability, operational stability, risk controls, and reporting across multiple live and prop firm accounts. This is not a strategy development or data analysis role. Strategies are licensed and provided. The focus is on running trading systems correctly, safely, and at scale.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
You will operate and oversee a futures trading environment that includes:
-Multiple live cash accounts
-Hundreds of futures prop firm accounts
-Multiple portfolios with different risk profiles
-Continuous trading during US and overnight sessions
-Your job is to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and consistently — and to intervene decisively when it does not.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Administer NinjaTrader test and live environments on separate VPS instances
-Maintain stable data connections and execution across all accounts
-Configure and manage multiple diversified portfolios with different risk profiles
-Operate and monitor strategies across live and prop firm accounts
-Ensure all accounts are enforcing proper risk controls (daily loss limits, sizing rules, etc.)
-Implement and manage market news filters to pause trading during high-impact events
-Monitor live trading and confirm executions are occurring correctly
-Troubleshoot NinjaTrader issues, including unhandled exceptions and connectivity problems
-Manage open positions during errors or data disconnections
-Close positions decisively in emergency situations to preserve capital
-Safeguard sensitive account credentials and operational data
-Create daily and weekly reporting by strategy, portfolio, and account
-Adjust contract sizing weekly based on account balances and drawdown levels
-Build and maintain SOPs for all operational workflows
-Simplify and systematize processes wherever possible
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
-Candidates must have real-world experience with:
-NinjaTrader in live trading environments
-Running separate test and live environments on VPS systems
-Managing multiple strategies across many accounts simultaneously
-Operating futures prop firm accounts at scale
-Building complex NinjaTrader portfolio structures that remain stable over time
-Preventing and resolving NinjaTrader errors (e.g., unhandled exceptions)
-Implementing news-based trading pauses and filters
-Understanding macroeconomic news and market-impacting events
-Enforcing daily loss limits and risk controls
-Managing live positions during platform or data failures
-Making capital-preserving decisions under pressure
-Handling real capital responsibly and conservatively
-Creating clear, repeatable SOPs and operational documentation
-Producing structured operational reporting
-This role is execution- and reliability-focused, not strategy design.
NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE:
-Removing failed prop firm evaluation accounts and onboarding replacements
-Setting up new prop firm accounts and integrating them into NinjaTrader
-Managing risk dynamically based on available drawdown or account balance
-Using AI tools to assist with reporting, organization, or repetitive tasks
-Experience improving uptime, reliability, and operational resilience
