Automated Storybook PDF Template
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I have a 120-page personalized children’s storybook in PDF form that I need converted into an automation-ready template. My preferred workflow is Make.com, so the finished file must accept JSON or API data from a Make scenario. Wherever the current file shows “[name]” it should become the {{child_name}} placeholder, and all 15 internal illustrations plus the cover need image tokens such as {{image1}} and {{cover_image}} that Make can swap on the fly.
The template must preserve every original design detail—fonts, sizes, kerning, positioning, and overall layout—so the final PDFs remain print-ready at high resolution. When the child’s name changes, it should update automatically on both front and back covers without breaking formatting.
Please outline in a brief, detailed proposal:
• Your approach to rebuilding or tagging the PDF so placeholders stay perfectly aligned.
• Any toolchain you plan to use (e.g., Adobe InDesign, PDFtk, LaTeX, scripting).
• How you will validate that a Make.com test flow can inject sample JSON and return a flawless PDF.
I’m aiming for completion in three to four days (one week absolute maximum).
