Project Specification: Automating PrestaShop Orders with Boxtal
1. Context
Thermopoudre is an e-commerce business running on PrestaShop. To streamline and accelerate the order fulfillment process, we aim to automate:
Retrieval of orders placed on the website.
Calculation of the total weight of products in each order.
Automatic generation of a shipping label via Boxtal.
Printing of shipping labels, delivery slips, and product stickers.
The automation must run only between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
2. Project Goals
The main goal is to set up an automated scenario using the Make.com platform (formerly Integromat) to handle these tasks without manual intervention.
3. Required Features
3.1 Monitor PrestaShop Orders
The scenario must monitor new orders in PrestaShop via an automated trigger.
Filter orders based on a specific status (e.g., "Payment Accepted").
The script should only function during business hours, between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
3.2 Retrieve Order Details
Extract all product details from each order, including:
Product references.
Quantities ordered.
3.3 Calculate Total Order Weight
For each order, calculate the total weight based on:
The unit weight of each product.
The quantity of each product.
Sum up all weights to calculate the total weight of the order.
3.4 Generate Shipping Label with Boxtal
Send order data to Boxtal's API to generate a shipping label. The data sent must include:
Sender address.
Recipient address.
Total weight of the order.
Package dimensions (fixed: 20x20x15 cm).
Retrieve the generated shipping label as a PDF.
3.5 Automatic Printing
Automatically print:
The Boxtal shipping label.
The PrestaShop delivery slip.
Product stickers to be affixed to the packages.
Product Sticker Management:
Stickers are PNG files stored locally on the PC.
Each sticker file is named according to the product reference in PrestaShop.
The scenario must:
Search for the correct stickers corresponding to the product references in the order (e.g., 12345.png for a product with reference 12345).
Automatically print these files using a connected printer.
4. Technical Constraints
4.1 Target Platform
The project must be implemented on Make.com, using a fully automated scenario.
No direct modifications to PrestaShop or Boxtal are required.
4.2 Tools and Modules
Use the following Make.com modules (indicative list):
PrestaShop - Watch Orders to monitor new orders.
PrestaShop - Get an Order to retrieve detailed order data.
PrestaShop - Get a Product to fetch unit weights of products.
