(Jharkhand/Ranchi) Sadri Field Researchers Needed April 6
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m organising a ten-day field trip that kicks off on 6 April and I need a small team of freelancers who speak fluent Sadri to help me on the ground. The work centres on gathering primary information from local communities, so you’ll spend most of each day conducting structured surveys and questionnaires and then noting follow-up insights through informal community interviews.
Ahead of departure I’ll run a short online training session covering the survey instruments, consent procedure and data-logging standards, so previous field experience is helpful but not essential. During the trip you’ll work in pairs, record answers carefully (paper or digital—whichever you’re faster with) and upload your completed forms at the end of each evening. Accuracy, cultural sensitivity and steady availability for the full ten-day stretch are critical.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in Sadri
- Must be local to Ranchi area
- Must be able to travel and work remotely with me (food, lodging will be provided)
Deliverables
• All survey and questionnaire responses submitted daily in the agreed format
• Brief interview summaries for each community visited
• A final compiled file (Excel or CSV) on the last day
If you’re conversationally confident in Sadri, comfortable travelling and ready to start 6 April, I’d love to hear from you.
