IBC-Compliant Steel Stud Drawings

Job ID: 40161940

Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

I have a full set of AutoCAD plans for a four-plex that relies on load-bearing, fire-rated cold-formed steel stud walls. I now need a complete shop drawing package that transforms those architectural files into fabrication-ready documents fully compliant with the International Building Code (IBC).

Scope
• General Arrangement (GA) drawings—floor plans, elevations and sections—showing every load-bearing stud wall, opening and fire-rated assembly.
• Erection drawings that call out stud spacing plus overall height and width tolerances, flagged clearly enough for the field crew to pick up at a glance.
• Single-part drawings for each custom stud or track profile.
• A consolidated Bill of Materials listing member sizes, gauges and quantities, ready for procurement.
• All wall types must reference the relevant ASTM fire-rated assemblies for load-bearing cold-formed walls.

Workflow & tools
I will provide the original DWG files and any architectural revisions. You can work in AutoCAD, Advance Steel, or comparable software, but return the final set in DWG and searchable PDF. Layering and naming must remain consistent with the files I supply so the drawings dovetail back into our master model.

Acceptance
• Every sheet passes an IBC compliance check for structural and fire-rating notes.
• Dimensions reconcile with the architectural grid; no cumulative error beyond stated tolerances.
• BOM totals match the take-offs on single-part drawings.

If this aligns with your experience, let’s discuss turnaround and milestones so fabrication can begin without delay.
