Fiber Concrete Pavement Design Review
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am seeking an experienced structural-engineering freelancer to perform an independent technical review of a 10-page design report for a 250 mm fibre-reinforced concrete (FRC) pavement slab.
The design is based on TR34 (4th Edition), the Eurocodes (EN 1990/1991/1992), and the Danish National Annexes / DS norms.
Your task is to confirm the adequacy, completeness, and correctness of every calculation and design check.
Scope of Work
Completeness audit
Identify any missing analyses or checks required by TR34, Eurocode 2, or Danish guidelines (e.g., shrinkage, joint spacing, environmental exposure, wear resistance).
Numerical verification
Re-work all stresses, moments, fatigue, dowel, subgrade, curling/deflection, and serviceability calculations.
Flag any discrepancies, typos, or mis-applied factors (safety, partial, dynamic).
Methodology assessment
Confirm the correct formulae, load factors, material factors, and partial factors have been used.
Highlight any alternative or more accurate approaches (e.g., FEM, Westergaard variants, Khazanovich curling model).
Material verification review
Check that concrete and fibre residual strengths (fR1, fR3) are justified by tests or certificates and correctly factored.
Deliverables
A concise review memo (≈2–3 pages) summarising:
Pass / fail status of each design check.
All numerical differences, with corrected values.
List of missing or recommended additional checks.
Comments on report clarity, units, and presentation.
Annotated PDF (optional) or tracked-change Word doc marking specific issues.
Required Profile
Chartered or licensed structural/civil engineer (or equivalent experience).
Proven background in industrial slabs / pavements, FRC design, and TR34.
Familiarity with Danish standards (DS/EN 1990-1992, DS 2426, etc.).
Ability to deliver within 2 days of project start.
Project details or report or any other information regarding this cannot be shared online or anywhere else.
