EU Dried Fruit Import Advisor/sourcing agent

Job ID: 40208858

Budget: €18 – €36 EUR

I’m preparing to bring a range of dried and freeze-dried berries, citrus fruits and tropical fruits into the Netherlands and, by extension, the wider EU market. Before the first shipment leaves the supplier, I need clear, authoritative guidance on every rule that could affect me—from customs codes and sanitary checks to shelf-life labelling and recycling symbols.

What I’d like you to cover

• A full map of the EU and Dutch regulations that apply to importing these fruit categories, including all paperwork, inspections, VAT considerations and any RASFF triggers.
• A plain-English checklist of packaging and labelling obligations: ingredient panels, nutritional values, allergen statements, language requirements, lot coding, best-before dates, and recycling marks.
• Comparative advice on packaging materials. I’m still weighing plastic, glass and paper, so I need pros, cons and compliance points for each.
• Sourcing support: locate suppliers that can provide export-ready fruit and, when viable, pre-pack them under my brand for direct-to-consumer sales. Small test quantities are fine at this stage.

Concrete deliverables

1. Regulatory memo (PDF) detailing every import step, HS code and fee.
2. Packaging & labelling checklist with sample artwork references.
3. Supplier shortlist (spreadsheet) with MoQs, pricing, lead times and shipping terms.
4. Step-by-step pilot-shipment guide, including template documents and recommended freight contacts.
