Don’t Gibber, Communicate. In a world where communication drives families, relationships, business and more, gibber’ s mission is to simplify communication between parties, through gibber’ s ability to use google translate, through the google cloud platform. We want to give users the ability to communicate with anyone in the world.
GOALS
Launch iOS/Android & Web app using this template (Inserttemplatehere).
Launch multiple video conferencing features, including visual voicemail, and speech to text features.
Integrate with Twilio/SMS feature that allows users to text from the APP to a phone number and translate in and out of the app, Video conferences, predictive texts, etc.
SPECIFICATIONS
Skill in cross-development platforms, specifically react.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform
Experience with Google Firebase including the full suite of tools (performance, crashlytics, etc)
WORKFLOW
The basic premise of gibber is to translate text and therefore the way this would work is, when a user first signs up to the app/site they pick their default language (this should default by region - if I am in the US, it should default to English, if I am in Germany it should default to German, If i am in India it should default to Hindi), the user will have the ability to change the language through the settings tab.
Then once they are set up the first chat for every new user will be with the user “Chat with our Founder” which will be an account that I have access to.
Once the chatting starts here is what needs to happen. User A - writes in English -> goes to the cloud and translates in the cloud-> User b -> gets the text in their language (German, Hindi, Spanish, etc) and vice versa. If; user uses Spanish keyboard, hindi keyboard, etc - translation should stay the same.
