Develop a Load Cell-Based Automated Watering System
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I am looking for a developer to assist with a project involving a Raspberry Pi and load cells (HX711 module) to create an automated watering system for plants.
Scope of the Project:
1. Hardware:
• 4-corner load cells with 3 wires (white, red, and black) connected to the HX711 module.
• Relays to control watering valves.
• Raspberry Pi as the controller.
2. Software Requirements:
• Calibrate the load cells to ensure accurate weight readings.
• Store calibration data persistently (not lost on system restart).
• Measure the weight of pots and trigger relays to water plants when the weight is below a set threshold.
• A simple and modular Python script for managing the load cell data and watering logic.
• Include debugging tools and comments for easy understanding and troubleshooting.
3. Objective:
The system should automatically detect when plants need watering based on the weight of the pots, activate the corresponding relay to open the valve, and stop watering when the desired weight is restored.
The project is partially set up, but assistance is needed to complete the calibration code and integrate the overall functionality.

• Experienced in Python and hardware interfacing with HX711 and relays.
• Delivery of clean, well-commented, and functional code.
