Create VCarve-Ready Vector Files for Custom Wooden Shield Plaque + Separate Swords
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for a skilled designer to create two CNC-ready vector files (for VCarve Pro or compatible software) based on a provided design concept. The final product is a wall-mounted wooden shield that will feature crossed swords and a mounted lion head (not part of this job). These files will be handed off to a woodworker to execute the physical build.
---
File 1 – Shield Plaque
Dimensions: 20 inches wide by 26 inches tall
Design Elements:
Mihrab-style shape with a pointed arch and smooth, symmetrical curves
Double engraved border in a Celtic/Islamic geometric style (engraved inward)
A centered 12” x 18” engraved rectangle to mark placement for a copper lion head (no lion modeling needed)
Recessed mounting guides or slots to receive the separate sword pieces (from File 2)
Design must use closed paths and be layered for toolpath assignment
---
File 2 – Crossed Swords
Design Elements:
Two crossed scimitars, mirror-imaged and curved upward
Each sword must be modeled separately from the shield as a closed vector path
Full detailing: blade curvature, hilt, grip, and pommel
Sword vector shapes should match the recessed area in the shield (from File 1) for exact placement
These swords will be carved from a separate, darker wood (material detail for context only, not required for this job)
---
Deliverables:
Clean, closed vector paths ready for CNC carving
Proper layer separation to support V-bit and end mill operations
Files must be compatible with Vectric VCarve Pro
Final formats: SVG and/or CRV (preferred), or DXF if applicable
Reference images will be provided (shield design and scaled swords with annotations)
---
> Additional Notes:
You are not responsible for selecting wood or materials—this job is strictly for CNC-ready design files.
The final product will be built by a woodworker using separate materials, so precise dimensions and fit are essential.
Please maintain symmetry, proper scale, and clean line work throughout.
Preference given to those with past CNC, woodworking, or VCarve file creation experience.
