ob Description: Construction Projects Estimator/Quotations Specialist
We are currently seeking a remote worker to join our team as a Construction Projects Estimator/Quotations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing estimates and quotations for various construction projects, with a focus on residential works including extensions, conversions, renovations, as well as smaller projects such as bathrooms and kitchens. The ideal candidate will have experience using the PriceAJob software package (www.priceajob.co.uk), although it is user-friendly and can be quickly learned by motivated individuals.
Responsibilities:
Provide accurate estimates and quotations for construction projects, primarily residential in nature.
Review construction drawings and specifications to assess project requirements.
Utilize the PriceAJob software package to generate estimates, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Stay updated on current labor and material costs, as well as industry standards and trends.
Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to confirm costings and obtain necessary bids.
Maintain and update existing project estimates as needed.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to address any inquiries or clarifications related to estimates and quotations.
Ensure timely delivery of estimates and quotations to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
Proven experience in construction project estimation and quotation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with labor and material costs in the construction industry.
Knowledge of residential construction practices, including extensions, conversions, renovations, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Experience using PriceAJob software or similar estimation tools is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and comprehensive estimates.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills to interact with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
Availability to respond to project estimation requests promptly.
Please note that this is not a full-time position, but a continuous flow of projects will require estimation services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing timely and accurate estimates, as well as maintaining and updating project information as needed. The ability to contact contractors to confirm costings or bids will be highly beneficial in this role.
