Classic ASP to ASP.NET - CRUD Student Database

I have a basic CRUD student database based on classic asp and access database and is currently running from an old laptop in the office, it was originally created almost 20 years ago!
Tables:
Parents
2nd Contact (other relation)
Students
Students In Classes
Branches
Classes
Class Type

I would like this converted to a newer technology and also some simple bugs fixed. I would also like the GUI to be modern and responsive. Use of AdminLTE would be fine.

We still use this because we like the layout of a few of our reports and the printing of registers works well for us.
3 major improvements I would like are:
*Customised reports, so we can choose which fields we would like printing/viewing.
*Improving the search facility, so we get wider results. For example, if we search for a parent, we would like to see related results for the parents students. It currently just searches 1 table.
*Perhaps improve the current menu with a dashboard where we can see amount of active students and upcoming student birthdays etc.
