Backlink Research Specialist for SEO Enhancement (White Hat Only)
Budget: $20 – $30 NZD
We are seeking a detail-oriented freelancer to help us identify and research potential backlink sources for our website which provides resources and support for separated and divorced women. The primary focus of this role is to build a list of high-quality, relevant websites that can provide backlinks to improve our SEO and drive traffic. Only white hat methods will be accepted—no spamming, black hat techniques, or unethical link-building practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Competitor Analysis: Use tools like Ahrefs, Moz, or SEMrush to analyze backlinks from competitors in the same niche. Identify high-authority competitors that target separated or divorced women and related content.
Niche-Related Website Research: Find websites, blogs, and online platforms that focus on topics like divorce recovery, emotional well-being, women’s empowerment, or personal development.
Prioritize high-traffic, reputable websites that align with our audience and would naturally benefit from linking to our content.
Content Collaboration Opportunities (White Hat Methods Only): Research opportunities for ethical guest posting, interviews, or content partnerships with relevant blogs and websites. Ensure all outreach is done thoughtfully, with personalized communication and no mass emailing or spamming.
Broken Link Opportunities: Use tools like Ahrefs or Broken Link Checker to find websites that have broken links. Suggest relevant content from our site as a replacement, using ethical outreach practices.
Influencer and Thought Leader Research: Identify influencers, thought leaders, or websites that might naturally mention or link to our content in resource lists or blog posts. No paid or manipulative backlinking methods will be accepted.
Key Deliverables: A detailed spreadsheet of potential backlink sources with relevant details, including:
Website URL
Domain Authority (DA)
Relevance to our niche
Type of backlink opportunity (guest post, resource link, broken link replacement, etc.)
A list of potential content collaboration opportunities.
A list of any broken links identified and the suggested content for replacement.
White Hat Requirements: No spamming or using black hat SEO tactics like link farms, paid links, or automated mass submissions. Only ethical, white hat methods will be used in outreach and link-building efforts. Focus on building genuine, long-term relationships with websites and creating valuable content exchanges.
Required Skills:
Experience with and pro- access to white hat backlink research tools (Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, etc.)
Strong understanding of SEO and ethical backlink strategy
Ability to quickly understand the nuances of relevant industries (divorce, women’s well-being, personal development)
Strong research and organization skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience in ethical outreach for backlinks or content partnerships
Familiarity with online marketing in the personal development or women's support sectors
Deadline: We are looking to receive the first round of research within 7-10 days of starting the project.
