Australian Mortgage Credit Analyst

Job ID: 40043944

Budget: $8 – $15 AUD

Experience working in a support role for Australian Banks or Mortgage Brokers is a must.

Support a busy panel of Australian mortgage brokers by preparing thorough, lender-ready credit assessments.
Your day-to-day work will revolve around three core activities:

• Support Brokers– interpret client applications, verify income and liabilities, and generate a clear risk grade that aligns with major bank and non-bank policy.
• Financial statement analysis – drill into tax returns, BAS, PAYG summaries and company accounts to confirm serviceability and highlight red-flags early.
• Risk evaluation and mitigation – outline potential hurdles (LVR, postcode, employment history, credit file issues) and suggest practical compensating factors or alternative structures.

Alongside the numbers, I need you to keep a close eye on the ever-changing Australian mortgage landscape. This means researching current products, rates and policy niches across mainstream lenders and specialist alt-doc providers, then matching the most suitable options to each scenario.

Deliverables for every file:
1. A concise credit memo summarising income, debts, servicing capacity and recommended risk grade.
2. A product suitability matrix listing at least three lender options with pros/cons and policy notes.
3. A short recommendation outlining next steps or additional documents required.

Turnaround is typically 24-48 hours per file and all work must be completed in English and formatted in Word or Excel so brokers can paste directly into their CRM and lodge without rework.

If you bring prior experience with ApplyOnline, Salesforce, Mercury or similar broker platforms, please mention it in your proposal—these skills will streamline collaboration but are not mandatory.
