Angular Karma Testing to test dropdown list

I am having a trouble while testing/creating testing case for dropdownlist . While trying to reach the dropdown using using its id , its giving "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'debugElement')"

I ll send the code partially only for this issue and I can't share my screen .
