Parametric Jewelry Modeling in Grasshopper
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m working on a new line of rings, necklaces, and bracelets and I want every piece driven by a clean parametric setup so I can tweak sizes, stones, and surface treatments on the fly. The work has to be done in Grasshopper for Rhino (or an equivalent visual-scripting plugin such as Dynamo or Houdini’s node system, if you can keep the files compatible).
The aesthetic I’m after sits in the “intricate designs” bracket—think interlocking lattices, flowing organic forms, or repeating architectural motifs that still feel wearable once cast. Each file should let me control core dimensions (finger size, chain length, bangle inner diameter), pattern density, and gem seat parameters through clearly labeled sliders or numeric inputs, with no dead connections or broken dependencies.
Deliverables
• One Grasshopper definition per piece type (ring, necklace pendant module, bracelet segment) with all geometry grouped and named logically.
• Export-ready 3DM and high-res STL for print testing.
• A short Loom or PDF walkthrough showing how to adjust the key parameters and regenerate the mesh/B-rep without errors.
Acceptance criteria
• Regenerates in under 30 seconds on a mid-range workstation.
• Mesh passes standard manifold checks in Rhino’s STL inspector.
• No naked edges when baked to NURBS.
