CAD Floorplan to 3D Model
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I have a completed 2-D CAD floor plan that now needs to step into the third dimension. The end goal is architectural visualization, so the model should be clean, true to scale, and appealing enough for renders or quick fly-throughs.
Scope of work
• Build a full 3-D model directly from my CAD drawings.
• Apply moderate detail: walls, floors, openings, primary fixtures, and a sensible set of textures and finishes—enough to communicate material intent without going into every screw and hinge.
• Pay special attention to the external features. Facade articulation, balconies, overhangs, and any site elements shown on the plan must read clearly in the final model.
File handling & tools
The base DWG/DXF files will be supplied the moment we start. I’m flexible on the software you use—SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Blender, or a comparable tool—so long as the exported file is compatible with common visualization pipelines (FBX, SKP, or RVT work for me).
Deliverable
• One finalized, fully textured 3-D model accurately reflecting the 2-D drawings, delivered in the agreed-upon native format plus FBX/OBJ for backup.
I’m aiming for an efficient turnaround with one revision round included so we can fine-tune materials or fix any dimensional slips. If you need anything beyond the CAD file—sections, elevations, reference photos—let me know and I’ll provide them right away.
