On-Site 3D Sculpture Scan

I need an accurate 3D scan of an outdoor figurative sculpture that stands 3.5 m high and 1.8 m wide. Because the piece is installed permanently outside, the capture must happen on-site; moving it is not an option. The finished file should be delivered in a clean, watertight STL ready for digital archiving and potential small-scale reproduction.

A medium level of detail is sufficient—I’m looking for faithful overall geometry and clear general features rather than ultra-fine surface pores. Please factor outdoor lighting and access conditions into your workflow and equipment choices (e.g., structured-light or LiDAR systems that handle daylight).

Deliverable
• One merged, decimated, and axis-aligned STL file, free of holes and non-manifold edges.

Acceptance
The mesh should import into MeshLab and Rhino without errors and measure within ±2 mm of the original dimensions at several reference points.
