UE4 Humanoid Weight Paint & Rig
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I have game-ready humanoid characters packaged as an FBX, complete with a baked-in sword and shield. Your task is to create a clean bone hierarchy that mirrors the standard Unreal Engine 4 mannequin, skin (weight-paint) every vertex so the mesh deforms naturally, and finally bind the model to the UE4 skeleton.
Once the rig is in place I’ll drop a set of UE4 rigged combat animations on it to confirm everything behaves—no collapsed elbows, no floating weapons. Please keep an eye on weapon and shield pivots; they must follow the hands without visible sliding. Weapons and shields should not exhibit any rubbering / flying / deformation.
Deliverables
• FBX of the fully skinned, UE4-compatible rig
• Unreal Engine test scene (or animation preview) showing at least one combat move working flawlessly
• Use exact naming conventions and bones as in UE4 mannequin
If you prefer to work in Blender, Maya, or directly inside UE4’s tools, that’s fine—as long as the final output is a clean, mannequin-ready FBX. I’m happy to answer mesh or topology questions before you start so we can avoid re-work.
