3D Cartoon Pilot
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm green-lighting a 20–30 minute 3D cartoon pilot and need a partner who can take it from my rough character sheets all the way to a polished, broadcast-ready episode. The world is light-hearted, full of expressive human leads and their equally charismatic animal sidekicks.
Where We Stand
• Scripts, storyboards, and basic character turnarounds are in hand.
• Character designs exist but still need modeling and style refinement so they pop on screen.
• Voiceover/Audio Note: We will hire the voice talent. The selected animation partner will be required to record and integrate the final audio stems before main animation begins.
What I Need From You (Full 3D Production)
• Modeling & Rigging: Model, rig, and texture every human and animal character so they animate fluidly and expressively.
• Environment Build: Build key environments and props in the same stylised cartoon aesthetic.
• Animation Pipeline: Handle layout, animation, lighting, rendering, and basic compositing. I’m open to Maya, Blender, Houdini, Unreal, or your preferred toolchain, as long as the final look stays coherent.
• Final Deliverables: Deliver the finished pilot in 4K and 1080p, plus all project files and clean audio stems.
Visual & Audio Requirements (Crucial!)
• Render Style: We are targeting a PBR Stylised look. We require soft shadows, rich textures, and volumetric lighting to achieve a high-quality, modern 3D feature animation aesthetic (not flat cel-shading).
• Audio Workflow: The entire 20-30 minute animation must be perfectly lip-synced to the final recorded audio stems, which will be finalized by your team (or a hired voice talent) at the start of the project. No scratch audio is to be used for final animation.
Milestones & Review Flow
Animatic → first animated minute → halfway check-in → final cut. I’ll give notes after each upload to keep us aligned.
Why This Could Be Long-Term
If the pilot hits the quality bar, we roll directly into a full season, so think of this as the first of many episodes.
