Cartoon Character Animator & Modeler

Job ID: 40529066

Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR

A new children’s game series is moving into full production and every episode hangs on original, memorable cartoon characters. I need one artist who can stay with the project Monday through Friday, treating modeling, rigging and animation as a seamless pipeline rather than three separate steps.

Day-to-day work centres on sculpting likeable protagonists and side-kicks, building clean, game-ready topology, rigging for exaggerated squash-and-stretch, then blocking and polishing loops such as idle, walk, run, jump and signature emotes. Assets feed straight into Unity, so tidy hierarchies, named bones and FBX exports are mandatory. Most of the team lives in Blender and Substance Painter, but I’m flexible if you prefer Maya or ZBrush as long as the outputs match the engine guidelines.

To keep delivery expectations crystal-clear, every character is approved against the following checklist:
• High-poly sculpt and optimised low-poly mesh (under 15k tris).
• UVs laid out for one 4K texture set, no visible seams.
• Rig with IK/FK switches, facial blend-shapes and cartoon-friendly controls.
• A minimum of 12 polished, loopable animations in the same file, 30 fps.
• Source files plus clean FBX ready for Unity import.

Communication runs through Slack with a quick daily stand-up; Git LFS handles version control. If you thrive on long-term collaboration and can commit full-time hours, I’ll onboard you right away so the first hero character ships this month.
