Restore Alginate Hand Mold Details

I have several life-cast alginate hand molds that were taken in a hurry, and a few crucial features never transferred cleanly. Whole finger tips are flat, the palm lines are shallow or lost, and the nails lack definition. I want each cast brought up to a highly realistic standard so the finished piece reads as an exact replica of the original hand when cast in stone or resin.
Here’s the situation:
• Material: straight alginate, already cured and backed with plaster bandage for support.
• Problem areas: missing or deformed fingers, indistinct palm lines, and soft or absent nail beds.
• Goal: rebuild every one of those details so finely that the final positive looks alive once poured.
Deliverables
1. Cleaned and stabilized negative molds, ready for casting.
2. Reconstructed finger tips, palm lines, and nail beds that match natural anatomy.
3. A final silicone or resin positive (your choice of medium) that proves the corrections hold up in pour tests.
Acceptance criteria
