Realistic 3D Printed Heeler Sculpture
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a life-size advertising piece: a 4’-tall by 5 ½’-long Blue Heeler replicated from my own dog. I already have a handful of clear reference photos, so the most important part of the job is nailing the likeness and personality.
Scope
• Create an accurate digital model of my specific dog, sharing previews so I can sign off on pose and expression.
• 3D print the model (I’m leaning toward filament or resin—open to your suggestion) in sections that can be cleanly joined. The final figure must be sturdy enough for frequent event transport.
• Seam, sand, and prime the print, then hand-paint a hyper-realistic coat pattern and clear-coat it for outdoor use.
Key requirements
• Final size: approximately 4’ (height) x 5 ½’ (length).
• Realistic anatomy, coat texture, and coloring—no stylized shortcuts.
• Weather-resistant paint and finish.
• Safe packaging and shipping or local pickup options, depending on your location.
Please include in your proposal:
• A brief portfolio of similar 3D printed or painted animal work.
• Your preferred material and printing method.
• Estimated timeline from modeling to finished, painted piece.
• Any questions you need answered before starting.
I’m ready to supply the reference photos right away and respond quickly to feedback rounds so we can keep the project moving.
