Prototype Assembly & Soldering Support

Job ID: 39847048

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I’m finishing a short-run custom prototype and need an extra set of steady, detail-oriented hands. The work centers on three areas: precise component soldering, mechanical/device assembly, and creating clear build documentation so future batches can be reproduced without guesswork.

What you’ll actually do
• Hand-solder fine-pitch SMD and through-hole parts onto small PCBs I’ll supply.
• Assemble the boards into a compact housing, align connectors, and run a quick power-on check (basic multimeter/bench-supply gear provided).
• Photograph key steps and write concise notes that capture tools used, torque values or heat profiles, and any assembly tips you discover. I’ll fold this into our official build guide.

The prototype is a one-off custom device rather than a standard consumer product, so flexibility and a maker mindset are important; there may be the occasional 3-D printed spacer or quick re-routing of a cable. Work will be completed on-site in St. Louis, MO; hours are flexible.

I expect this project to last between 6-8 weeks.
