Precise Mesh Design & Manufacturing Guidance
Budget: $10 – $11 USD
I have a physical sample with a repeating mesh pattern and I need an exact digital replica that’s ready for production. Your first task is to capture the geometry so every opening matches the photos I will supply, then deliver a clean, watertight STL that a 3-D printer can read without post-processing.
Beyond the file itself, I also want detailed, step-by-step guidance on how best to manufacture it. Although I’m leaning toward high-resolution FDM or SLS printing, I’m open to any technique that holds the tolerances; injection moulding, CNC machining of a steel tool for plastic over-moulding, or even metal sintering are all on the table if you can prove they’ll keep those mesh dimensions intact. Please walk me through material choices, wall-thickness limits, draft angles and cost trade-offs, because I may source the work locally or through a factory in China.
Deliverables
• Production-ready STL file, verified for printability
• A brief manufacturing guide outlining recommended process, material specs and quality checks
If you routinely create tooling files in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar and can back them up with pragmatic factory-floor advice, let’s get started.
