Plastic Physical Prototype Creation

Job ID: 39753297

Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD

I have designed a new device and now need a tangible, plastic prototype that captures its look, feel, and the custom functionality I have in mind. The concept is well-sketched, with dimensions and exploded views ready; what I lack is the real-world model that lets me hold it, test clearances, and show it to stakeholders.

Here is what I’m after: a full-size, physical prototype fabricated primarily in plastic. It must accurately reflect my drawings and integrate a small set of moving parts whose behaviour does not match the presets “basic shape,” “mechanical movements,” or “full operational capability” listed in the form—so we’ll be refining that requirement together. Once built, the model should let me evaluate ergonomics, assembly sequence, and stress points.

You’ll guide material selection within the plastic family (ABS, PLA, PETG, or another you recommend), choose the most appropriate fabrication method—whether CNC, vacuum forming, 3D printing with post-processing, or a hybrid—and deliver a clean, presentation-ready unit. If adjustments are necessary after first inspection, I expect reasonable tweaks until the prototype hits its intended purpose.

Please be comfortable translating 2D drawings or CAD into a production plan, sourcing or printing parts, and finishing them to a professional standard. Let me know your typical workflow and what you need from me so we can move straight into production.
