Pepakura character Unfolding
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have a finished 3D model of a fantasy-style creature and I need it unfolded in Pepakura so it can be built as a physical paper model. I’m after a moderate level of detail: enough accuracy to keep the character recognisable and visually appealing, yet still practical to cut, glue and assemble without tiny, frustrating tabs everywhere.
You’ll receive the model file as soon as the project starts (OBJ or FBX, whichever you prefer). I’d like you to:
• Prepare the mesh for Pepakura, fixing any non-manifold edges or inverted normals that might stop a clean unfold.
• Unfold the geometry with logical part breaks and clearly numbered tabs.
• Optimise the layout on A4 (Letter size is fine too if you recommend it) so the parts fit efficiently and the build sequence is intuitive.
• Return a PDO file I can still tweak if needed, plus a ready-to-print PDF.
Please keep the overall scale consistent with the original proportions; if resizing is required, let me know the percentage you applied. A quick note on suggested cardstock weight or assembly hints would be appreciated but not mandatory.
If you’ve handled creature meshes in Pepakura before, especially at this moderate detail level, I’d love to see a sample screenshot or two. Let’s make this creature ready for the crafting table!
