We are an Australian orthotics company specializing in 3D-printed custom foot orthotics. Our workflow involves clinicians scanning patient feet, providing a prescription, and then using CAD software to prepare orthotic designs for 3D printing.
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable overseas virtual assistant with basic CAD experience (orthotics or footwear design preferred, but not essential if you are a fast learner). The role will involve preparing and modifying orthotic files, following our set protocols and training.
Responsibilities
Assist with basic CAD work (adjusting orthotic models based on prescriptions).
Import patient 3D foot scans and apply prescribed modifications.
Export files in correct format for 3D printing.
Follow provided SOPs and guidelines (training will be provided).
Communicate with our podiatrists/design team for clarifications.
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all designs.
Requirements
Experience with CAD software (Rhino, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
Basic understanding of 3D modeling (experience with orthotics/footwear a bonus).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
Good written English and reliable internet connection.
Ability to work ~4 hours per day (flexible timezone, but some overlap with Australian business hours preferred).
