3D Part Conversion & Prototyping

Job ID: 40282465

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I have a component supplied only as a 3DPDF. First, I need that file properly converted to a clean, watertight STL. Once the geometry is in STL form, I want to open it in SolidWorks and carry out two key changes: add a couple of functional features of my own and merge the whole piece so it mates perfectly with another part I will supply in STL format. Dimensional accuracy at the interface is critical because these two parts will eventually form a single molded assembly.

After the digital work is done, I’d like a short prototype run—just enough 3-D-printed samples for a quick fit-check and functional assessment before we move on to tool design for injection molding. Fast turnaround is important; I’m aiming to review the modified files and receive the print samples as soon as possible.

Deliverables
• Converted, error-free STL from the original 3DPDF
• SolidWorks source file (.sldprt or .sldasm) showing the added features and merged geometry
• Final production-ready STL/STEP models
• 3-D-printed prototypes shipped to me for fit evaluation

Send a note outlining how quickly you can tackle the conversion, modification, and print run, and let me know what material you recommend for the prototypes.
