Optimize 3D print (PrusaSlicer, supports, surface quality – Silk PLA)
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
Hi,
I am looking for someone experienced with REAL 3D printing (not just CAD modeling).
I have an STL model that I print on Prusa Core One (nozzle 0.4 HF) using Silk PLA (Anycubic Silk Gold).
Current problem:
- Poor surface quality on areas supported by organic supports
- Rough / "teeth-like" finish after removing supports
- I need cleaner bottom surfaces and easier support removal
What I need:
- Help optimizing support settings (PrusaSlicer)
- Advice if the model should be modified for better printability
- Ideally: adjusted 3MF file with proper settings
- Suggestions for best orientation, support type, and interface layers
VERY IMPORTANT:
- I want you to actually APPLY the supports (not just describe them)
- Either:
- provide a ready-to-print .3MF with supports correctly placed
- OR send screenshots / painted supports showing exactly where supports should be
- I also want a short explanation of what you changed and why:
- support settings (Z distance, interface layers, spacing, etc.)
- why these values work better for Silk PLA
- how I can reuse this approach on other models
IMPORTANT:
- You must have real experience with 3D printing (Prusa / Bambu / similar)
- Please mention your printer and slicer experience in your proposal
What I will provide:
- STL file
- Photos of current print issues
- Current slicer settings
Goal:
- Best possible surface quality
- Easy support removal
- Minimal defects on visible surfaces
Budget: low (this is a small optimization task), but more work possible if results are good.
If you have solved similar support/surface issues before, please mention it.
Thanks!
