Modify Fender Flare STEP File

Job ID: 40580079

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have the original STEP model of a truck fender flare ready to go. Before I commit to tooling the production mold, I want to run a real-world fit check with a Bambu H2D 3D printer.

Here’s what I need from you:

• Take the existing STEP file, hollow the inner volume so material is only where it matters for a trial fit.
• Break the part into print-sized sections—about eight feels right, but I’m open to your professional judgment on parting lines that minimise post-processing and preserve the surface profile.
• Return clean, watertight STLs (or 3MF if you prefer) plus the updated STEP so I can keep a master. Medium precision is fine; the key is dimensional fidelity on the mounting edges.

If you’ve prepped large automotive parts for desktop printers before, especially on Bambu machines, that experience will help a lot. Let me know how you plan to approach wall thickness, alignment keys, and any tolerance you’d recommend for re-assembly, and I’ll get the file to you right away.
