Moai Stool 3D Print Coordination
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a set of STL files for a Moai-shaped stool arriving in the next day or two and I need the whole job—printing and delivery—wrapped up within a month. Your task is to source a reliable 3-D printing service, handle the back-and-forth with them, and make sure I receive a physical master that can serve as the pattern for a copper-pour mold.
I’m flexible on the build material; whatever you judge to be safest and most dimensionally stable for molten-metal casting is fine. If a direct 3-D print in something like high-temperature resin makes sense, great. If it’s smarter to print in PLA or ABS and then create a silicone negative, I’ll follow your lead. The only non-negotiables are clean surface detail on the Moai features and full stool scale—this is a functional seat, not a miniature.
Deliverables once the STL files are in hand:
• Confirmation of the printing vendor, machine type, and material choice
• Photos or video of the build in progress for approval before shipping
• The finished physical master delivered to my address, ready for mold-making
If you have experience shepherding prints through services like Shapeways, Xometry, or a trusted local bureau, that’s a plus. Good communication and swift problem-solving will matter more than anything else.
