Horse for print
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a 3D scan sitting in a Blender file and I’d like to see it come to life on an SLS printer. Before I hit “print,” the mesh needs a bit of professional care:
• Resize the model to the dimensions I’ll supply once we start.
• Create any internal or external support structures suited to SLS (powder-based) so nothing distorts or collapses.
The piece is purely decorative, so surface fidelity and clean contours matter more than mechanical tolerances, but I still need sensible wall thickness and a watertight mesh. My ideal hand-off is a single print-ready STL (or OBJ if you prefer) that drops straight into the slicer with no further tweaking required.
I’m working in Blender, so please keep the workflow compatible—MeshLab, Netfabb, or similar repair tools are fine as long as I can open the result back in Blender if I want a look.
Deliverables
1. Optimised, watertight STL/OBJ scaled to final size
2. Brief note on the modifications you made and recommended print settings (layer height, orientation, etc.)
If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s talk and I’ll share the file and target dimensions.
