Grasshopper Non-Planar Printing Training

Job ID: 39749424

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I’m just starting out with Grasshopper and want to fast-track my skills specifically toward non-planar 3D printing. My goal is to understand the entire workflow—from building a parametric definition in Rhino/Grasshopper through to generating the tool-paths a printer needs for curved-layer deposition.

Here’s how I picture the collaboration:

• 1 to 1 sessions that will walk me through the Grasshopper basics I’ll actually use for non-planar work (component logic, data trees, plug-ins such as KUKA|plc).
• Step-by-step creation of a simple, then a more complex, non-planar print file, including slicing strategies and export settings.
• Sample .gh files and a concise cheatsheet so I can repeat the process on my own.
• Suggestions for accessible printers capable of non-planar extrusion and any tweaks I should know when booking time or sending a job out.

By the end of the engagement I should be able to open Rhino, build a parametric model, generate the curved-layer G-code (or robot code), and know exactly where and how to run it. If this sounds like something you can guide me through, please outline how many hours or sessions you recommend and what material you’d cover first.
