Job ID: 40541972

Budget: €6 – €12 EUR

I am a craniomaxillofacial (CMF) veterinary surgeon looking for an experienced biomedical CAD engineer to build a patient-specific complete temporomandibular joint (TMJ) prosthesis for a feline. The implant will be utilised while undergoing clinical evaluation, and it may be fabricated via metal 3D printing or milling. CT/CBCT DICOM data for the patient will be given.
1. Created a segmented 3D bone model of the mandibular condyle, temporal fossa, and adjacent structures using DICOM data.
2. Designing patient-specific prostheses using CAD
Condylar component + fossa/eminence component, native CAD format (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or comparable), and STEP export
3. STL files are print-ready.
Manifold, properly orientated, with wall thickness appropriate for Ti6Al4V SLM or PEEK CNC cutting.
4.Virtual Fit Verification Results
Screenshots/renders of implants situated on bone models from at least three anatomical perspectives (lateral, inferior, and posterior).
5.Design a report (PDF, 1-2 pages)
Implant size, design reasoning, material recommendations, and any identified fit issues.
